The team provides advice, support and a signposting service where potential mental health and/or drug and alcohol issues are identified. Following referral from a health professional in the emergency department or an inpatient ward within the Royal Derby, the team offer an intervention, assessment and discharge process that covers all aspects of mental health - including drug and alcohol use and self-harming.
The team won an award at Derby Teaching Hospitals annual awards ceremony earlier this year, in recognition of the value that they bring to Royal Derby Hospital.
