Annual Members Meeting 2017: Registration

The Chair of local NHS trust Derbyshire Healthcare is offering anyone with an interest in health and wellbeing a chance to reflect on the health provider’s progress over the last 12 months and understand its plans for the year ahead – at its annual members’ meeting this July.

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust – the leading provider of the county’s mental health, learning disabilities, drug and alcohol services and a range of children’s services in Derby – will hosts the yearly meeting on Wednesday 26 July, from 2.30pm – 6pm at Kingsway Hospital in Derby (DE22 3LZ), focussing on the importance of ‘partnerships’.

Attendees are invited to arrive from 2.30pm to view the Trust’s ‘market place’. Here there will be a selection of information stalls providing specifics about the range of Derbyshire Healthcare services that benefit from partnership working and what they have achieved over the past year. There will also be a chance to speak directly to the health professionals that offer care and support to thousands of people right across the county.

Light refreshments and free hand massage and Reiki taster sessions will be available to everyone in attendance.

The formal meeting, which will commence at 4pm, will include a number of personal stories from people who have used and/or are currently using Derbyshire Healthcare’s services as well as a summary from directors and governors of the Trust’s performance throughout 2016/17, and what to expect in the current financial year as the Trust explores closer partnership working with other NHS organisations in Derbyshire.

As a Foundation Trust, local residents, patients and their carers can become Foundation Trust members to help stay informed about the organisation and help shape its services and future developments through their local, elected governor. Anyone wishing to join the Trust as a member will be able to sign up at the meeting.

In the interests of answering as many questions as possible, those who would like to submit a question to the Board of Directors should do so prior to the event by calling 01332 623723 or emailing membership@derbyshcft.nhs.uk
