Annual Members Meeting 2017: Registration

Our Acting Chair is offering anyone with an interest in health and wellbeing a chance to reflect on the Trust's progress over the last 12 months and understand our plans for the year ahead – at our annual members’ meeting this July.

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is a leading provider of the county’s mental health, learning disabilities, drug and alcohol services and a range of children’s services in Derby. We will be hosting our yearly meeting on Wednesday 26 July, from 2.30pm – 6pm at Kingsway Hospital in Derby (DE22 3LZ), focussing on the importance of ‘partnerships’.

You are invited to arrive from 2.30pm to view the Trust’s ‘market place’. Here there will be a selection of information stalls giving details about the range of Derbyshire Healthcare services that benefit from partnership working, and what they have achieved over the past year. There will also be a chance to speak directly to the health professionals that offer care and support to thousands of people right across the county.

There will also be some free therapy taster sessions available, including hand massage and Reiki, to show the 'partnership' between physical and mental health. Light refreshments will also be available.

The formal meeting, which will begin at 4pm, will include a number of personal stories from people who have used, or are currently using, Derbyshire Healthcare’s services. There will also be a summary from directors and governors of the Trust’s performance throughout 2016/17, and of what to expect in the current financial year as the Trust explores closer partnership working with other NHS organisations in Derbyshire.

As a Foundation Trust, local residents, patients and their carers can become Foundation Trust members to help stay informed about the organisation and help shape its services and future developments through their local, elected governor. Anyone wishing to join the Trust as a member will be able to sign up at the meeting.

In the interests of answering as many questions as possible, those who would like to submit a question to the Board of Directors should do so prior to the event by calling 01332 623723 or emailing dhcft.membership@nhs.net
