Preparations are well under way for a renowned Derby summer fayre which attracts scores of local people and families each year and raises money for a good cause.

The Kingsway Summer Fayre, which is organised by the League of Friends charity who voluntarily support the work of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, will return this year on Saturday 9 July from 1pm – 5pm at the Kingsway Site, Derby DE22 3LZ

Hundreds of people are expected to turn-out to enjoy a wealth of events and attractions including a stunt bike display, dance performances, children’s magic show, bouncy castle, games, stalls and music from Shuffle - a local live band. Amanda Solloway MP for Derby North will also be making an appearance to draw the summer fayre raffle.

Entry to the Kingsway Summer Fayre and parking, as always, are free and everyone is invited to attend.

As part of the charity’s arrangements, donations of items that can be sold at the summer fayre to help raise funds for activities which will assist in the recovery of people under the care of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust are welcome. Anyone wishing to make a donation can call Leida Roome on 01332 623700 ext 33972.

All profits raised from the summer fayre will be reinvested back into patient care provided by Derbyshire Healthcare – the NHS Trust providing mental health services, learning disabilities services, substance misuse services and children’s services like health visitors and school nurses, which has its headquarters at Kingsway in Derby.
