Here at the Centre for Research & Development we are taking part in a research project and we are looking for volunteers!
The project called DNA Polymorphisms in Mental Illness (DPIM for short) is being run by Professor Gurling at University College London. The purpose is to try and ascertain whether there may be a genetic factor which predisposes people to mental illness.
In order to do this the scientists need to compare the DNA of people who have suffered mental illness with the DNA of those who have not. It is hoped that better treatments could then be found.
So, if you are interested in giving up 20-30 minutes of your time (and maybe a little blood!) then please contact Gemma Elliott or Audrey Williamson on 01332 623700 ext 33474 or 33398
