We have been shortlisted for a national gong!

Clapping hands

Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust has been identified as a top performer in driving forward a high tech NHS!

We have been shortlisted for the Health Service Journal’s (HSJ) Improving Care with Technology Award after introducing a revolutionary electronic system for recording and managing risk assessments. The new simple system has already assisted the trust in resolving risk assessments effectively and much faster than using old-fashioned paper based forms.

Derbyshire Healthcare is one of eight organisations shortlisted for the award which aims to recognise the initiatives where IT, clinicians, managers and suppliers have worked together to identify a clinical need and come up with a solution that works for everyone.

The HSJ Awards are the most prestigious and coveted awards in UK health, bringing together the best of the sector for a glittering evening of recognition, celebration and networking. With 22 categories the awards champion best practice and innovation to overcome the challenges which face the health sector today.

Steve Trenchard, Chief Executive of Derbyshire Healthcare, said: “This is fantastic news for our trust and we have much to be proud of. The nomination highlights the continued commitment of our staff to deliver high quality services in new ways to meet the needs of our patients, their carers and staff.”

The winners will be announced at the HSJ Awards ceremony on 19 November at Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
