Trust salutes Chief Executive on his retirement

Mike Shewan Retirement

Mike Shewan, Chief Executive of Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, has retired after 13 years.  During his time, mental health services have radically changed, with a much more significant focus on care closer to home, and the replacement of Kingsway and Aston Hall hospitals with much more modern purpose built services.

Mike led the Trust to Foundation status in 2011, and leaves it in a very stable and healthy position.

A successor for Mike has been appointed, Professor Steve Trenchard, who will take up his position on 1st February 2013.
