The Trust narrowly missed out on a national leadership training award after being shortlisted for the Best Leadership Development Programme in the Training Journal Awards 2012.
The award ceremony was held on 28 November at the Brewery, one of London's most celebrated venues. Sue Flynn, Leadership Development Manager, said: “Unfortunately, the Trust didn’t come in the top three. However, we were delighted to have been shortlisted in the final six UK entries. Best Leadership Development Programme is a new category this year, and one of the most highly subscribed. It is a real honour to be recognised by the judging panel of the Training Journal Awards 2012.”
Interviews for shortlisted entrants were held in London on Wednesday 26 September 2012, attended by Lorraine Statham, Sue Flynn and Richard Morrow from Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Hosted by journalist and broadcaster Daisy McAndrew, the seventh Training Journal Awards were presented on 28 November before an audience of over 450 Learning and Development professionals and experts.
The Training Journal awards aim to inspire excellence and celebrate best practice in learning and development. The standard of entries has become higher each year which is a testament to the professionalism and dedication of all the organisations that enter.
