Are you committed to providing high-quality healthcare for people in Derbyshire, supported by a team of dedicated professionals all working towards one goal - "to improve the health and wellbeing of the people we serve"?

Then we would love to see you at our next nurse recruitment afternoon, on Thursday 28 September 2017 at the Hartington Unit - one of our three campus sites supporting people requiring inpatient mental health care.

We are recruiting registered mental health nurses based in Chesterfield, as well as staff in other clinical positions. We would like you to come and meet our enthusiastic staff, talk about your career aspirations and look around our facilities.

You may be:

  • aspiring to be a nurse and/or have relatives, friends or acquaintances who are interested in pursuing a nursing career
  • a Registered Nurse or newly qualified
  • in the first, second or final year of your nurse training
  • joining or have joined civilian life after a successful nursing career in the military
  • retiring or retired Registered Nurse and wish to return to employment
  • returning to the nursing profession after a break or know someone who would like to.

Regardless of which stage you are at on your career journey, we would love for you to start/continue your nursing career or return to practice with us. Please let us know if you plan to attend by booking a place on the Eventbrite website

At the fair, you will be able to:

  • Find out about a range of nursing career opportunities at Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust
  • Have a unique opportunity of guaranteed 'face time' with our enthusiastic and friendly staff at the Hartington Unit, ask questions about our nursing vacancies and make professional networking connections
  • Apply for vacancies and have a chance to be offered on-the-spot interviews or arrange your interview on a mutually convenient date agreed with you on the day
  • Chat with representatives from different clinical and non-clinical service areas whilst visiting our exhibition stands showcasing various services; our Nurse Bank, amongst others, will also have a stand
  • Find out what your nursing career could look like with Derbyshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, including what our Trust has to offer and is like to work for as an employer
  • Be able to register for email updates about other DHCFT recruitment fairs/careers events across Derbyshire, and upcoming opportunities prior to them being widely advertised.

Save this date: Thursday 28 September 2017 from 2pm-5pm and register your interest/attendance in advance. We will send you information beforehand about vacancies that will be open for interview on the day. If you wish to be interviewed, please bring along evidence that you have the right qualifications and experience for a role. Interview slots will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Getting to the fair

You will find us in the Hub, Hartington Unit (on Chesterfield Royal Hospital site), Chesterfield Road, Calow, Chesterfield, Derbyshire S44 5BL. Staff at the Hartington Unit reception will signpost you to the Hub.

There is limited onsite car parking. Please use Car Park 10.

Be interviewed on the day

At the recruitment fair, you will have the chance to apply for some vacant posts and be interviewed all in one day, where time allows. 

If you register your interest in advance (above), and provide an email address, you will be sent information about vacancies that will be open for interview on the day. 

To put your name down to be interviewed on 28 September, you will need to bring along:

  • Evidence of qualifications and professional registration (where required)
  • Confirmation of identity and eligibility to live and work in the UK.

Confirmation of identity could be: your passport or full birth
certificate and a document confirming your national insurance number, photo driving licence and a utility bill showing current name and address (dated within the last three months).

If you have only one photographic document, you must bring two documents confirming your address.

For DBS purposes, please also bring as many as possible of the following: birth certificate, marriage certificate, P45/P60.
